Genioplasty is the ideal surgical procedure for anyone with an unsightly profile because of the chin’s position in relation to the face.
The chin running away
The absence of chin, the receding chin can be corrected by the placement of a pre-cut silicone implant through a small incision under the chin of 2 to 3 cm, or by the oral route.
Strong chin or galoche
Galleon chins are resculpted by an osteotomy : that is, removal of excess bone.
As with all cosmetic surgery procedures, cheek and lip edema and sometimes hematoma can be observed after a genioplasty, which will disappear within a few days. The pain, if you have any, will be treated with analgesics. In the first days, moderate bleeding may occur at the level of the surgical wound. The nonabsorbable yarns are removed after healing of the wound.
Liposculture is used to remove fatty deposits in the face and neck. If there is a residual excess of skin, a mini cervical lift can be associated with it.
