Bring roundness to flat buttocks

The gluteal implants bring roundness to the flat buttocks and sculpt the curve of the hollow under the hip. The prosthetic buttock technique gives a very natural result.

Indications: Flat buttocks

The flat buttocks are most often of congenital origin, related to the morphology of the person. They can also result from significant weight loss.
This defect affects both sexes but it is more unsightly for a woman than for a man, mainly for cultural reasons. A woman with a very round butt is considered more feminine and more seductive. There is also an injustice related to birth. A man, if he muscle well, will arrive to have an acceptable rounded shape, while a woman even muscular, will have a very toned but still flat buttocks. It will therefore be necessary to bulge above to give volume.
Most often, liposuction of the hips is associated with a gluteal implant placement in order to better enhance the curvature obtained.

The course of a gluteal surgery

Buttock surgery is performed under general anesthesia with one to two nights of hospitalization and lasts approximately one hour.
The implants are filled with a cohesive silicone gel that makes them very resistant. The surgeon selects the size and shape of the prosthesis taking into account the original appearance of the patient’s buttocks. There are prostheses of all shapes, round, oval, biconvex or oblong and of all sizes with an average volume ranging between 250 to 350 cubic centimeters.
The current buttock surgery technique was developed by a Brazilian surgeon, Dr. Raul Gonzalez. Inserted inside the gluteus maximus, the gluteal implant is not visible under the skin and is not likely to move.
The surgeon makes an incision of about six centimeters vertically in the crease of the buttocks. The scar is totally invisible. He then inserts the prostheses in a box equipped by detachment of the gluteus maximus, located in the upper half of the buttocks. Then he sutures the deep planes and the skin with resorbable wires. Finally he puts a bandage modeling with elastic bands.

The consequences of the intervention

There are more or less severe pains for eight to ten days. The surgeon lifts the gluteus maximus muscle to insert the prosthesis and it is this manipulation that causes pain after gluteal implants. There are also edema and bruising for about ten days. The resumption of normal activity is after about a month.
Special attention is given to pain management. In the recovery room, at the end of the anesthesia, analgesics of different powers are given by the venous route. Once the patient is back in the room, nurses regularly assess the importance of the pain to increase or not the dose of analgesics. The patient also spent two nights in the clinic to be followed at best in the first days, which are usually the most painful.
Back at home, avoid for six weeks any pressure on the buttocks. It is especially not recommended to sleep on your back, to bend, to lift objects. The patient should preferably sit in an upright position. It is also wise to provide home help for daily activities such as running, climbing stairs, washing, etc.
Once this delicate course has passed, the patient is very happy with the result and quickly forgets the discomfort of the first days.

Results: Augmentation of the glutes

It is visible immediately but becomes definitive after 2 to 3 months, the time that the buttocks relax and that the prostheses are stabilized. The sensitivity of the buttocks is preserved. Implants can be worn for life.
